Texas Institute for Surgery opened on the Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas (THD) campus in August 2004 to provide surgical services and imaging procedures for a variety of patient needs. THD is an anchor hospital of Texas Health Resources, one of the largest and most impressive health systems in North Texas.
Texas Institute for Surgery occupies a 58,000 square-foot area and offers state-of-the-art operating rooms equipped with advanced technology – from computers, imaging services and endoscopic capabilities to the latest anesthetic equipment and surgical instrumentation. The surgical hospital offers many patient comforts and is housed within a 90,000 square-foot facility that includes physician offices.
Early in 2006, Texas Institute for Surgery awarded Texas Health Partners (THPR) the contract to provide centralized patient financial services, including billing, collections, cash processing, credit balance, contract management, and customer service functions. THPR’s revenue management strategy and financial oversight have led to a significant reduction in account receivable days.
