Texas Health Center for Diagnostics & Surgery (THCDS) is a surgical specialty hospital located on the Presbyterian Hospital of Plano campus. Open since December 2004, the state-of-the-art hospital features the latest technological advances to serve an array of surgical needs.
Texas Health Partners (THPR) was a major catalyst in the development of the partnership resulting in THCDS. THPR provided valuation advisory services, developed the partnership agreement with outside legal counsel, managed the funding aspect, collaborated with the architectural firm on design, construction and operations, and implemented revenue cycle management services from the onset.
Surgical and ancillary care at THCDS focuses on the individual patient: two (of eight) operating rooms are specifically designed for spine/orthopedic procedures and the four procedure rooms offer capabilities for fluoroscopy, colonoscopy, bronchoscopy and pain management. Complete imaging services for both adult and pediatric patients include a 16-slice CT scanner, short-bore magnetic resonance system, sonography and X-Rays. Beyond the latest imaging techniques, features for patient comfort and convenience include flat screen televisions in pre/post-operative care areas, wireless Internet services and cafes. THPR continues to provide management oversight and revenue cycle management services.
